Learn from Mistakes
Collaboration
Teaching Philosophy
Experience is the source of knowledge. My educational mission is to use design projects of all shapes and sizes in the courses I teach. I want to help students learn from the mistakes they experience as a team and demonstrate that multiple viewpoints and approaches will always lead to better outcomes.
Courses
I am currently focused on creating inverted courses that mesh hands-on activities with online material. I teach undergraduate biomedical engineering capstone design courses (BME489 and BME498) and introduction to biomedical engineering (BME205). I teach graduate level courses on human factors applied to medical device design (BME1802) and research skills for biomedical engineers (BME1450).
